There is two different ways of viewing sound effects you can view it using either waveform witch is editing a single track and is (destructive Editing or you can use multitrack witch is multiple tracks mixing or editing them together.

Waveform View where it is in destructive editing so once you have gotten rid of it and its saved its destructed
