Cables
For any unit or fixture your power can't exceed the amp of the socket, different fixtures draw different amounts of amps. The Uk usually uses 240V, the wattage of an institution can be found in the manual of that individual fixture. and if you use a Y-Split the amps will be shared out, as you are using the same socket. This is the same as using a 13amp exstention.
Cables:
DMX-
DMX is used for data transfer and is used to control the fixtures from the desk. And can use up to 512 P
Power con is used for fixtures as a power cable, these can be daisy-chained together to power multiple fixtures. Power con cables provide a 20amp rating.
13Amp-

15Amp-
15amps are a single socket with a heavier-duty wire they have larger earth pins so they will not fit into other sockets, these are used for conventional fixtures. And tend to be run on a dimmer that the desk controls the channels for, they tend to be 6 channels for each dimmer.
16Amp-
16Amps are Much higher power and can be used for more powerful fixtures and you can run much more of a 16amp socket (they can handle 1920watts 3520watts)
PowerCon-
