Fitting Microphones is a important part of theatre and you would need to know how to do this if your job roles was sound 2 there is different ways of doing so
Mic fittings:
The best placement for a Mic is to attach them to the persons head. This can be done in a few different ways, is with using Mic tape. The microphones can also be held with hair grips or placed under a wig
The best position is to run the microphone cable up the back of the neck and through the hair the end of the microphone should just be sticking out of the hair line, either in the middle of the forehead or above one of the eyes. has longer hair.

If no wig is being used, the best position is to run the cable up the back of the neck, behind one ear and over the top of that ear, with the microphone head taped pointing down towards the mouth, with a 2 finder gap between the microphone and the mouth
