Setting Up Speakers:

Setting Up Speakers:

Setting up the speakers is a vital part as you have not only to ensure that they are angled correctly and are in a good position but also need to ensure safety and make sure that if rigged above they have a rig that can take the load and have safety bonds. you also need to ensure that all the cables are tidied and taped down but you would do this after testing the speakers and equipment to ensure everything works first before taping them down.

Setting Up The Multicore:

Multicore:

The multicore is a key part as it is essentially multiple XLR's in one cable that can be put on stage so people can plug their instruments or mics into it and then the other end of the multicore goes into the desk

What Went Well?

For the Live band project we worked very well as a team and managed to set a band up with stage decking as well, we also created a few general lighting states for the band and we cable managed well we also overlapped projects as we used the band set up for our open evening so we interrelated with AV and Lighting making sure to communicate well so we didn't overload power, etc. We worked really well together this time as our communication and teamworking skills had developed massively from previous projects.

What could be improved?

For improvements, we could have cable managed a lot better so as not to get anything mixed up and so it wasn't as messy, I also could have improved my hard skills a lot better for sound such as using the desk to change the sound and effects of microphones and mixing everything together although this is something I would like to improve in the future as I didn't fully understand and was not to good at this. I also could have asked about certain things about the desk such as layering to improve my knowledge of sound and how the desk works.

What skills have I developed?

Overall I worked well and it looked professional I interrelated well during the project I developed my sound skills on how to set up a sound system correctly and under a time limit.  I also improved my taping skills and cable management making sure to separate power and lighting as this is a key thing to have to do and also so that the workplace was safe, especially around fire exists as this could cause a catastrophic event.

Overall I worked fairly well with others as my communication skills had improved from previous projects making it easier to work together as a team.
