Intelligent Fixtures:
Intelligent fixtures are a lot more diverse and you can do many more things with this type of fixture. You also don't need to range these fixtures as they can pan and tilt and you can do this from the desk itself and can also program them to do different effects, they have integrated gobos and colours and you can add extra things like making gobos prism (Multiply)

Phillips Showline SL 300

The Phillips showline Sl 300 has many diffrent atributes and this controls things such as gobos, pann & tillt and other various things these fixture can do many other things compared to VL washes
– We used this for effects as they are more intelligent, we had two placed on a rig at upstage centre and one either side centre stage Left & Right. These would be great for side lighting as side lighting extinguishes shape and brings out different textures.

Sl Showline 300
The VL wash has less attributes than a phillips showline. Although they mainly provide a general wash.
VL Wash – We had two that we used, and they were placed at the bottom of the rig Upstage center and would provide a general wash and could do minor effects as they are not as advanced as the Profiles.
Color blasts can be very effective when uplight or lighting a piece of the set as they are much smaller in size. ColorBlast RGBAW LED wash/flood/spotlight, offering an extensive enhanced color range, Full range of features — Accepts DMX input from the complete Philips line of controllers and third-party controllers.

Volklit Zooms The fixture has a motorized zoom, changing its beam size from 10 to 26 degrees, whilst maintaining a strong output. It also has an RGB configuration, giving a broad mixing palette and can Pann & Tilt
LED Strip 400
LED strip 400
The Showline LED strip 400 are used a lot for atmosphere FX, chase FX and up lighting. They can do cyclorama. They use the colours RGBW which stands for red,green,blue and white. You could use them for up lighting the stage.they have 10 attributes.

Setting Up & Patching
Setting up and Patching intelligent fixtures is a slightly different prosses compared to conventional fixtures.
The fixtures themselves and the desk both need continuous hard power as the fixtures won't work without full power. With these fixtures, you are able to daisy chain the power together using a power con.

You then run a DMX from the desk using universe two, whereas you would use a separate universe for a beta pack and conventional fixtures and then begin to daisy chain the fixtures together.

After the set up you can then begin to patch the fixtures into the desk,
each fixture has a certain amount of attributes that control certain aspects of the fixture such as Pann & Tilt. On the desk itself, you have to find the fixture you are patching in and what channel it is to patch it onto the desk.
