The Job role of someone who would follow spot is to operate a follow spot and would use this to light certain areas of the stage or follow a individual character or object around the stage depending on what is needed.

Follow spot is a type of profile lantern that is meant to be operated by someone to follow a performer on stage.

There are different ways of doing this as you may be asked for a full-body spot (lighting the entire performer), a half-body, or head and shoulders.
